About the Model
GiftedBecoming™ is in early-stage development and built upon the principles of Behavioral Neurodivergent Learning — an interdisciplinary approach that blends behavior science, cognitive intensity, and emotional regulation to support gifted and twice-exceptional learners.
We welcome partnerships for:
📊 Collaborative study design
🧠 Pilot testing in academic or clinical environments
📚 Qualitative and quantitative research on gifted learning, overthinking, and performance anxiety
If you are a professor, researcher, or graduate student interested in exploring how this approach impacts learning, test performance, and identity development, we’d love to connect.

🌱 Founder’s Credo — by Lisangelee Velazquez, M.S.
Creator of GiftedBecoming™ and the Behavioral Neurodivergent Learning Framework
I didn’t set out to create a field.
I set out to survive one.
I was the student who could grasp systems no one explained —
…and yet I failed the tests designed to measure understanding.
I was the thinker who could see what others missed —
…and yet I was told I overcomplicated everything.
I was gifted, yes. But I was also misunderstood, anxious, overthinking, and left out of the learning models built for “typical” minds.
When I searched for resources, I found only band-aids — or silence.
So I did what gifted people have always done when systems fail us:
I built what I needed and offered it to others.
GiftedBecoming™ is more than a workbook.
It is a research-informed, behaviorally grounded system for gifted, twice-exceptional, and neurodivergent learners who are tired of shrinking their brilliance just to succeed.
It honors our minds instead of silencing them.
It teaches self-understanding, not self-erasure.
It dares to say: You are not too much. The system is too little.
In naming Behavioral Neurodivergent Learning, I am not claiming ownership over people.
I am claiming stewardship over an approach that didn’t exist before —
one that integrates radical behaviorism, metacognition, and emotional intensity into a usable, teachable, livable framework.
Others will refine it, research it, challenge it, and expand it.
That is not a threat. That is the goal.
But let history show:
This is where it began.
And I am proud to say:
I built it with open hands — and an unshrinkable mind.
